The Hernando Beach Club is truly a hidden gem in Hernando County. It is an independent, member / volunteer run Social Club and Event Venue. Here are the answers to some common questions that we get:
Q: Exactly what is the Hernando Beach Club?
A: We are an independent Social Club and Event Venue. The building has a dining room that can seat 200, the lounge area can hold 50. You can rent the entire building or just the lounge area to hold your event. We have Friday night dinners, live music, fitness classes, game nights and lots of other activities for our members.
Q: Do you have to live in Hernando Beach to become a member?
A: No, you can live anywhere and become a member. We have members as far away as Texas & Maryland!
Q: What type of facility is the club?
A: We have full kitchen facilities, a Brides Room, a dining room that can seat 200 people with a large dance floor. Also a full service bar & lounge area that can hold 50 people. Our park like grounds sit on the Gulf at the end of Flamingo Blvd in Hernando Beach. We have 4 rental boat slips located on the protected side of Flamingo Blvd. that can be rented for the day or weekend or week. Q: What are some of the benefits of being a member?
A: Reduced drink prices, reduced meal prices. Reduced prices for renting the venue! Member only events, Friday night dinners with great live entertainment, game nights, great social hours, amazing sunsets. We also have a variety of classes offered at different times of the year, some fitness, dance and other. We have frequent special events such as Sunday Football, Kentucky Derby parties, New Year’s Eve celebrations, and other holiday celebrations. You also get the absolute best sunset views out over the Gulf.
Q: If I am a member, may I bring guests?
A: Yes! Bring your boss if you’d like to impress them. Bring your family when they come for a visit. If they live locally, you can bring them up to two times a year. After that if they wish to continue coming, they will need to sign up and pay membership dues. If they don’t live locally you can bring them up to 6 times a year.
Q: What makes the Hernando Beach Club so unique?
A: First of all, the club is located at an excellent vantage point on the Gulf where the land meets the sea and delivers some of the most spectacular views and amazing sunsets. We often sight dolphin and other sea life. The club is a great place to network and make friends. The club is an awesome venue to entertain your guests and spend time with family. We are a volunteer, member run club, not subject to rules or mandates from some corporate entity.
Q: Exactly what does it mean to be a “volunteer, member run club”?
A: Exactly that! Members who chose to, run the game nights, suggest events, teach classes, take turns cooking the Friday night dinners. When you join the Hernando Beach Club it truly becomes “Your” club! Our members are very active in the club and club activities. We are run by a board of elected volunteers.
Q: How can I check out the club before deciding if I want to join?
A: Come on down on a Tuesday, Thursday or Friday evening as a visitor / guest and check out our views and lounge area. You may come up to 2 times before you must join.
Q: Is there a dress code?
A: Some members like to dress up a bit for Friday night dinners, but for the most part members are very casual.

Q: How much are membership dues?
A: The dues are $185 a year per person, but we have monthly, annual and 5 year payment options available:
- $185 a year paid annually.
- Monthly - first month is $91, $16 a month after that. May not cancel in the first 12 months. May cancel anytime after that.
- 5 year membership. $750. 5th year ends up being only $10!
